Mission

Arabian/Morgan, Foaled 1998,15 hh

$875

Mission is a horse with a big heart and personality to match.
We thought we'd never ever part with him, but here we are.
His 13 year old owner is needing more out of him than he can give, though he'd be happy to try.
She is jumping up to 3 feet now, with lofty goals for cross country jumping.

Among Mission's qualities are his eagerness to get out and DO something with you rather than just stand around, his forward movement, his wonderful smooth canter - and the fact that he is drop dead gorgeous is just a bonus. If you are looking for a trail horse who is always happy to go, whether leaving or returning, is brave and not spooky, never pokey, and will bond to you forever, here is your boy.

Mission is up to date on shots and worming. He has a bit of arthritis which is well managed with Adequan once a month. The price is low only for this reason. Mission can still jump just fine, but has a 2'3" limit.  He's just been trimmed and had his shoes pulled for winter. Mission has never colic-ed or had any health issues other than his arthritis. He's a pretty easy keeper; he is on free choice grass hay.

We are so sad to part with him, but my daughter just doesn't have the time to ride two horses. Mission wants a job; he is always dying to get out and do something. Trail riding is probably his favorite thing; he is always engaged on the trail, looking around, and has a wonderful energetic walk.

Any potential buyer must meet our approval and we will want to see where he will be kept, etc. He is in small pasture right now which is perfect, as he loves to play. He will pick up a stick and gallop off with it, then throw it up in the air and try to catch it (never does), then gallop around again and snatch it off the ground and try again. If he can sneak his halter and lead rope thru the gate, he will swing it from one end with his teeth until he gets it going in a big circle and just keep going with it. Mission has TON of personality :>)

My daughter used him for Dressage, Jumping, Trail, 4-H, Equitation... He is ridden English and Western. He has been in weekly lessons with her for the past few years, and she has given young kids lessons on him as well.  He loads himself into any trailer (ours is a little straight load), clips, bathes...

We will throw in a couple months of Adequan ($35 per dose), and can also make a deal on hay and his brand-new winter blanket, if you'd like. (He doesn't wear a blanket unless he is pastured by himself)

We will miss him with all of our hearts.
